Kadyrov on human rights defenders: “They dig up dirt and write down every little thing”
The “Exit” session of the presidential council for human rights in Grozny lasted nearly nine hours. During this time, human rights defenders quoted statistics: according to their data, in the last 20 years, approximately 5,000 people have been kidnapped in Chechnya, and the kidnapping continues to this day. Local security forces may be involved. However, the head of the republic did not agree with what the human rights council members were saying.
In particular, Ramzan Kadyrov spoke harshly about one of the event’s participants, the leader of the committee against torture, Igor Kalyapin. “Some people, such as Kalyapin, collect dirt on me and write every little thing”, the head of the republic started his speech, according to Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
Kalyapin himself complains, “I don’t see anything constructive in it, it was an offensive and rude reaction on Kadyrov’s part. After a lengthy diatribe from Kadyrov on how human rights defenders are not good people, because we don’t work for free, he said that we work for another government, who give us our funding.” Meanwhile, as other participants of the meeting told reporters, Ramzan Kadyrov sees no real benefits from the work of human rights defenders. “I, as head of the region, protect the rights of the people, defend constitutional principles, strengthen the state, build houses, roads, and hospitals. And what do you do? “, he asked the audience emotionally.

It’s as though anyone who criticises the state is a US State Department agent :-) This is all so familiar…

Is it not 1937? [Note: the year when Stalin’s purges were the most brutal]
belyaevyi:
What do you think?
Nick-5292:
But the constitution quakes as Chechnya lives under Sharia law. These guys from the human rights council have gone completely mad :-)

“The human rights defender’s been bought, you’re a dickhead!“, is how Kadyrov summed up the academy’s meeting.

The only “little thing” is what he’s got in his head.

Well men, denying that in every country in the world there are some (SOME, not all) human rights defenders who work to destabilise the system using foreign money is just stupid. There are a huge number of examples of it. After all, it’s just a sort of alternative lobbying. Comment for idiots: all the above does not prove my love or hate for the Ramster.
Orlengos:
What else can you expect from a bandit who fought federal soldiers and killed Russian boys. And now, he’s a Hero of Russia. What a paradox in the modern day Kremlin!
belyaevyi:
I don’t like either side, but in this case, I’m even prepared to support even Ramzan.

They say “People are being kidnapped under you”, and he says its dirt. They say “your security forces are bandits”, and he says “I’m building houses”.
