From Echo Moskvy:
Centres of religious tolerance to appear in large Russian cities.
The decision was taken by the Ministry of Regional Development, Gazeta.ru writes. In these centres, they want to hold events to develop co-operation between people of different nationalities and religions, respecting religious feelings. Also, with their help they are planning to fight xenophobia in large metropolitan areas, particularly among young people. It is expected that these centres will appear in St. Petersburg, Omsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Khabarovsk, Ekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Nizhniy Novgorod and Irkutsk.
Comments from Echo Moskvy:

Again with these mysterious “religious feelings”! What, are the feelings of religious people and non-religious people different?
igor_1983: (responding to above)
A caveman would have found “education and manners” mysterious as well.
publisher:
They’re agitation and propaganda centres for the Russian Orthodox Church on the tax payers dime, just nasty cash cows full of hypocrisy.
aksdgh:
Terrorists and ethnic criminals have their own rights and wishes (respective of their upbringing) – blowing things up, killing people, raping. It’s difficult to understand these centres against the background of the monoethnic Chechnya or Dagestan, where they’re not going to build them… Putinish nastiness.

“In these centres, they want to hold events to develop co-operation between people of different nationalities and religions”
Translation:
They’re going to worship Putin, Gundy and the like. And whoever doesn’t like this “tolerance”: “will end up against the wall” V. I. Lenin (c)
igor_1983:
Those who visit these sorts of centres hardly need them …
But those who it doesn’t bother don’t ever need to go to.
waf_10_03__2013:
The funny thing is that the Nazis are going to teach tolerance.
boltus:
Brothels would solve this problem two or three times more effectively.
[Note: the Russian euphemism for “brothel” is a “house of tolerance” (from the French maison de tolérance, a place where prostitution was licensed, and therefore “tolerated”). This commenter is playing on words here]
aleksandrbolchunas:
Enough freezing on the streets. [Note: this is in reference to a comment made by Rogozin that it was time to stop the “Russia is for Russian” marches]
These buildings in these places are absolutely necessary.
Let’s hope that it all goes down in a civilised way in the provinces.
But it won’t happen until around 2030.
chitator:
It’s noteworthy that there isn’t going to be one of these centres in Moscow. But saying that, Moscow solved the problem a long time ago: they built a “Friendship of Peoples” fountain.
atmosferik:
A brothel for the faithful? But where can atheists go? Again, discrimination on the grounds of faith!
[Note: as above, this commenter is playing on the euphemism for brothel, “house of tolerance”.]
