Joseph Stalin was a revolutionary alongside Lenin, who rose to power after his death. His political ideals were rather different to Lenin’s, and he is seen as an evil dictator rather than a benevolent father figure. He was Russia’s wartime leader, and is believed to be responsible for millions of deaths in his own way, by starving Ukrainians. While monuments to Lenin remain around Russia, relatively few still exist to Stalin.
